✓ Benefits
Dill Essential Oil is obtained from the dill plant, Anethum graveolens, an annual herb known for its feathery leaves and aromatic seeds. Native to the eastern Mediterranean and western Asia, dill has been cultivated and valued since ancient times for its culinary uses and traditional properties. The extraction process to obtain this valuable essential oil is steam distillation. This method involves passing steam through the plant material (usually the seeds and/or the entire mature plant), which carries away the volatile components. Subsequently, the water vapor and essential oils are cooled, condensing into a liquid where the essential oil, being less dense, separates from the water (hydrosol), allowing for its pure collection.Botanical Origin and Extraction Process

Main Chemical Composition
The aromatic richness and properties of Dill Essential Oil are attributed to its complex chemical composition. Among its most prominent components, the following play a primary role:
- Carvone: This is the predominant component in dill essential oil. Carvone is a monoterpene ketone known for its aromatic characteristics, contributing to dill's distinctive sweet and herbaceous aroma. It is also found in caraway oil.
- Limonene: A monoterpene that adds citrusy and fresh notes to the aromatic profile. It is common in many citrus essential oils and is valued for its versatility.
- Alpha-Phellandrene: Another monoterpene with a fresh and slightly spicy aroma. It contributes to the overall aromatic complexity of the oil.
The combination of these and other compounds in smaller proportions creates the unique chemical profile that defines Dill essential oil.

Excellent Oregano Oil
This is awesome oil! Very strong - will take out a wart or skin tag in a New York minute! That being said, it's a very hot oil, you will want to apply it ONLY to the skin tag - and you can expect some tingling when you do. (If it burns, cut the oil with carrier oil. It takes longer to get rid of whatever it is that you are getting rid of, but there's less chance of a reaction.) And you don't really want to splash it on yourself. Ask me how I know. :) I left some with my mom, (in a blend), who is using it to remove a seborrheic keratosis on her scalp. (Yes, she had it checked, by a dermatologist, it IS a keratosis and not cancer. Thank you.) In only a couple of weeks the growth is less than half the size it was. She's very excited, and I foresee that I'll be buying more of this in the future.
Can't Get Enough of This Good Stuff
Would buy it by the quart, if available! Use it every day in the cats' food (this is an animal rescue shelter) and chronic infections clear up. Great for oral health (animals and humans), too. I've had a broken molar for 15 years and occasionally an abscess will form. Those can be fatal, but I apply a dropperful of coconut oil mixed with this oregano oil (enough to really sting) and it's gone in an hour (at most). Put it on cuts and they heal quickly. Works well as a spice (add it to beans, ratatouille, marinara, etc)!
Very potent
Is very strong.
Oregano Oil removed my huge wart on my foot in two months.
I had a large, deep wart on the ball of my foot. My girlfriend who worked in the medical profession for years said that I would need to have surgery to remove it. But I had read that oregano oil would kill warts in one or two applications. That's not what happened in my case. In my case, it took about one entire bottle of oregano oil, over about two months of applications a few times a week to kill it. The wart started out like a cluster nearly a half inch in diameter just off center on the ball of my foot. In the first few applications, I was seeking to see something dramatic, which never happened, so I got discouraged at first. But I did notice a few tiny black dots appear, and it began to appear to shrink a bit. After a few weeks of just two-three applications, I began to just apply it much more frequently, nearly daily, and all over my feet, instead of just a tiny bit on the wart itself. I had to dilute the oil with a carrier oil, and I chose Almond oil. About 5 drops of oregano oil and about a teaspoon of almond oil. Oregano oil is "hot", and it feels like it's burning my skin if I make it too strong without a diluting oil. I also just began using the diluted oil all over, as it smelled good. Finally, when the wart was gone, it was kind of a surprise, because there was absolutely no trace of it whatsoever. No scar, no indentation, no black dots anymore, nothing. Just pure, beautiful, smooth natural skin.
Much better smell than the other stuff I had from the grocery store.
I bought this to remove a large wart and it worked faster than I thought it would! Within 2 days it started being able to be sloughed off ( yuck! TMI sorry!). It’s been 5 days and it’s almost completely gone. Word of warning, this is a very “ hot” oil and will burn healthy skin. If using for wart or mole, make sure you’re only getting it and not surrounding skin. I didn’t dilute, because I wanted quick results but if you need to mix it with a carrier like coconut oil, it’ll still work but won’t burn as much.
Phantastic Oils/Großartige Öle
I ordered this and several other essential oils to experiment with them in skincare. Especially dill seed oil is really convincing!I was happy with its quality even though it does not seem to be organic (which I would have preferred). It was good value for money, too. So thanks a lot, Mystic Moments, for offering these wonderful oils!
Sweet company, not what I expected
Hard to give a bad review given the wonderful packaging and care from the company, but it really does not smell like dill... At all...
Oil leaked in transit, oil seems nice
I bought this EO after reading Roxy Dillon's fantastic book 'bio-young' where she talks about the effect of dill EO (and many others) on hormones and the aging process. The three stars are because the cap leaked during transit which is always a disappointment. On the up side, the item arrived about a week ahead of schedule which is great because I hate waiting for my non-prime orders to arrive! The EO smells faintly of dill, it's gentle and not overpowering which I like...I love pickles but don't want to smell like one!
