Motherboard sparked and trips power
_Ariston AQXXL109. This machine is problematic, expensive, stinky, mouldy, rusty, health and fire hazard! It had mould in the seal, rust in the drawer and then it shat itself completely. The motherboard sent sparks everywhere and tripped the power, so I eventually pulled it out and had major burning toward the footing of the machine or lower end of the board. What a Dud! it looked good at first. Quality!
Perfect
_We live on a farm on tank water and the amount of water used to wash our clothes to a very clean condition is minimal. The height of the machine is excellent to take clothes out and straight into a clothes basket. The machine is very quiet and wash is of excellent quality. Good price and water efficient.
Biggest waste of money ever.
_Will never buy Ariston again –_ Bought from Harvey Norman and didn't last a year before it was replaced. Second one had the same problems and there so called repairman was as good as useless. He had no idea how to fix it and neither did anyone else in the Ariston support number that he phoned. Useless door locking mechanism
NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE - THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE SHAM –
This business is a disgrace. Never ever use them. I booked and put down a deposit for their services and they never showed up. They did not respond to emails or calls and wasted my time and my money. They are the absolute worst. Avoid them like the plague they are!
Harvey Normans hardly normal front loaders
_Needed a new washing machine so went to Harvey Norman. Thought I'd get a front loader. Didn't want to spend more than around $750 but the sales guy gave the Ariston such a glowing recommendation saying that it was top of the range, would last forever, quality, was quiet and quick, saves water, and you could pause it. So stretched the budget to $1100 and bought one. Thinking I got a good deal and lovely new machine. Got it home and set it up, mmm not so quiet but still ok. Seal got mouldy very fast no matter what I did. Fast forward to now. Cannot remove mould from around door seal no matter what I do, very noisy, rusty and cover for washing powder draw has fallen off due to the amount of rust surrounding it. Making it very hard to open. I have 4 kids, 2 with special needs and asthma and I don't think the mould is good for their clothes or them. I do at least 2-3 loads per day. The washing never looks clean, can even see the dirt/sand sometimes. I have contacted warranty phone number several times and no one gets back to me. Of course it's now out of warranty and the email address I was given doesn't work. Whatever you do don't buy an Ariston and don't shop at Harvey Norman for a washing machine!!!
Reliable, economical and effective
_6 Years Plus with no repairs –_ We've have the Aqualtis AQXXL109 for over six years now. We remember buying it for around $500 from hardly normal - presumably when it was new to the market. When we got home we did some more research and saw all the comments about it being a hotpoint/indesit el cheapo. Well if that's the case, it has totally left for dead the Maytag front loader it replaced (not going there again). Oh, and this machine has taken a thumping - at least one wash per day - usually 2 or more each day on the weekends. The only recommendation is to occasionally run a couple of litres of white vinegar through the machine every once in a while or a descaling powder. This machine might suffer a bit more than others from mould buildup but all front loaders do to some extent. It's worth mentioning that the filter doesn't need as much cleaning as other machines - it's a self cleaning pump. Now it's starting with an intermittent minor leak and a bit of noise, so we'll be replacing it. Probably with a Samsung as the Aristons appear to have gone up in price. Honestly, we gave up on name brands after our Maytag/whirlpool rip off and fiasco - we just get a midrange machine and look to get good running from it up until the extended warranty runs out. Any extra running after that is a bonus.
Ariston Aqualtis Washer / Dryer combo
_We Bought the Ariston Washer / dryer package in a deal offering $400 cash back from Domayne, about 7 months ago, Our Laundry is small so our options were limited, so a top loader was out of the question of which meant buying a dryer which had to be placed side by side to the washing machine, as stated above. So we came across The Ariston, which suited our small space wonderfully, as they are modular being stacked above each other, and they look good too. We did not use the included stacking kit, firstly as we had being waiting for it for 4 months, and were sick of waiting for it (a Ariston supply issue), when the stacking kit did arrive, we did not use it as we found it was required to drill through the washing machine to secure the stacking kit in place. So we used a special stacking mat purchased for $20 which is placed in between the washer and the dryer to keep the machines from sliding off each other. However the machines thus far have had no vibration issues when operating, so not an issue as yet. The machines have performed very well so far and we are happy. Only thing we are not pleased about is the low efficiency of the dryer (of which most dryers are not). In any case we use the dryer only when it is raining.
Have I bought a lemon?
_I was given the impression by Harvey Norman assistant that the Aqualtis was a better machine as it was made in Europe. Ten months later it will only spin - it broke down around Christmas and I now have to wait until 14 Jan to have it repaired. Having read the reviews of others I am really concerned about the quality of these machines, particularly since I paid more than I had intended for a washing machine. I have emailed Ariston (email address that Ariston Official gave to a reviewer) but am still waiting for a response.
